Days to RecordIf you are using the regular start mode (versus the Advanced Programming mode), the number of days to record will initially be set to this preference level. The programming window provides an option to change the setting for a particular monitoring session. Unless downloaded earlier, the StepWatch will always run at least this number of days. It may run slightly longer. This setting can be used to avoid collecting unwanted data when you anticipate the StepWatch will not be returned or downloaded promptly after the desired data are collected. You may want to set the StepWatch to record several days longer than your intended session so if the client forgets to wear the monitor, you can extend the data collection session without your client having to return the monitor for re-programming which would cause you to have two separate data files. You may notice that the maximum Days to Record changes when you change the Percent Active Time setting. This reflects the influence of the StepWatch data compression scheme in which consecutive intervals of inactivity are recorded in the StepWatch memory in a "lump sum" manner. Because of this, the true maximum time you can record varies with each client's level and pattern of inactivity. Preference Topics Help Home |
